What is needed is people willing to step up to the plate in order to try and save Swanland Show before it becomes just a memory. I will be standing down from the Committee at the next AGM in October 2023. I have acted as Chair for the last 10 years (as well as acting Secretary for the last few years). It is now time for me to pass on the baton and a new leader is required to take Swanland Show forward.
Our next meeting is planned for February 2023 when we will consider the classes to include within the schedule for the 2023 Show in September. If anyone wishes to take on the future leadership and also the secretarial roles then I would suggest that they attend the next Committee meeting by way of an induction.
